February 2012 meeting

1 February 2012 ClubMac meeting
ClubMac’s February meeting of 2012 will take place on February 1, 2012, from 7.45 p.m. in Old Belvedere Rugby Club, which is located of Anglesea Road, Dublin 4.

Agenda for the evening

Our line-up for the meeting includes:

  • Technical Q&A: if you have a problem, this is occasion to ask our experienced band of Apple Mac gurus (moderated by Peter O’Reilly, Club member);
  • What’s new in the world of Apple: Tom Martin will bring us up-to-date on all the happenings since our January meeting including the Macworld iWorld Expo taking place in San Francisco on January 26–28;
  • Useful Utilities: One of our members will give a presentation on a little-known software programme;
  • Keynote presentation: How to look after and maintain your Mac. ClubMac is delighted to announce that long-time supporter, Tony Stott (formerly with Galmac and now Services Manager for the CompuB Group), will deliver a very practical guest presentation on how to get the best out of your Apple computer, the warning signs to look out for when your hard disk may be about to fail and how to back up your data.

As customary for ClubMac meetings, soft drinks and refreshments will be served.

*N.B.: Noel Davidson’s training session will re-commence in March.*
