Repairs/service

While Apple has a good reputation as a manufacturer of high quality goods, like all electronic products, they can fail and thus need to be repaired. Some repairs may be so simple that you can repair them yourself. The Apple web site has a lot of useful information on how to fix relatively minor problems.

If, however, the problem is serious, you may want to check if the product is still within warranty or is covered by Apple's AppleCare Protection Plan.

Apple have a number of service providers in Ireland who undertake repairs. You can use the following service provider locator (just select Service in the drop-down menu) on the Irish Apple web site.

ClubMac asks you to support our favourite Apple dealer, Galmac Computers, who provide club members with a 3% discount on the cost of repairs.

Additionally, ClubMac is pleased to endorse Stream Solutions whose managing director, Ger Allen, gave an informative presentation on his company's repair service at the May 2010 meeting. For more information, visit Stream Solutions
